I Read The News Today, Oh Boy: The Short and Gilded Life of Tara Browne, the man who inspired the Beatles’ Greatest Song- Episode 35 of The Biography Podcast

In June of 2017, my wife and I made our first trip to Ireland. While walking around Trinity College in Dublin, I discovered Hodges/Figgis, the grande dame of Dublin bookstores. When abroad, I always like to take a peek at the biography section, since it is a genre in which you can occassionally find gems that haven’t gotten published in North America. Such is the case with I Read The News Today, Oh Boy. I don’t mind saying that it is one of my favortie biographies I have done on the show and Paul Howard struck gold with his subject. If he can eventually find a North American publisher for this book, I will be extremely happy. And so, from August 1, 2017, Paul Howard talking about his book, I Read The News Today, Oh Boy: The Short and Gilded Life of Tara Browne, the man who inspired the Beatles’ Greatest Song.
